The Tibetan Association of Southern California (TASC) will hold a rally and candle light vigil to commemorate the Birthday of His Holiness, the Panchen Lama, Gendhun Choekyi Nyima, who turns 23 years old on April 25th. He was recognized as the reincarnation of the 10th Panchen Rinpoche by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama in 1995.  Soon after the recognition, he and his family were detained by the Communist authorities of the People’s Republic of China. Since then, their whereabouts are unknown. Human Rights organizations have termed him the “youngest  political  prisoner in the world.”

Please join us to pray for his release and for the well being of him and his family.  We will sign a birthday card that will be delivered to the Chinese Consulate

In addition, we will hold a candle light vigil for all the self-immolated sacrifices, and political prisoners of Tibet
